There's nothing sloppy about the graphics, and nothing choppy about the water, which looks really smooth. While this may keep you from rushing through the game, when combined with the long load times, the overall pace of the gameplay seems choppy and sloppy. Occasionally your character will not obey an order if he or she is too tired or is displaying a low reading on the mood meter. You have to be careful not to push your character too hard, as he or she expends energy rapidly, requiring you to rest, eat or take a shower. You'll acquire more useful items exponentially as you acquire more resources, mostly as a result of bartering. There are all kinds of food items from fish to fruit, as well as various weapons and tools such as an axe and a fishing rod. The island isn't very big, but the load times will have you thinking otherwise. As usual, you will be able to enter into a variety of relationships with the other characters on the island. Having to scratch out an existence from what you hunt and gather may seem like the same old familiar Sims formula, but consider that the economics system has been reduced to its basic component and you can see the potential as you expand upon it. Loaded with resources and interactive characters, the island is definitely fun to explore. This island instantly is your home, so it's not imperative that you acquire a home. wont regret it.Premise-wise, Castaway Stories covers some new ground, literally. If you see the game and your curious, pick it up. Not as superior to the PS2/XBox port and definatly not the PC versoin but it is still a game that is worth playing. I havmt re-visited the game in a while but I can say that this game is way more superior to the DS. It was harder to relise who this person was because I only went outside during the day, not the night.

As I owned this game when I was a kid, Think how scared I was when I saw that monster is the third area of the town you unlock. TBH it doesnt really matter, I didnt really use the house that much anyway. I also love the idea that Bella Goth, A character who was in the Sims PC and consoles (Including Busting Out) Sims 2 and now Sims 3 reveals that she only married Mortimer for the money but she does give you his mansion to stay. But this does bring up a plot hole in the story. Everytime the story progressed, I wanted to see more and more of the game until it was done. The story was dark at points which was not done yet in the franchise.

I think the game did extremely well by having the charm to the fans of the series. I think the game did extremely well by The sims 2 PSP, I think its safe to say that I was surprised with this handheld port from the series.
